Guests have a large living room on the first floor with comfortable sofas and chairs where they can read, listen to CDs or just have conversation.

The dining room, where the breakfast is usually served, is also on the first floor. The breakfast menu includes fresh juice, a fruit plate according to season, and freshly baked muffins. Main entree varies according to the weather and other factors. There is always lots of coffee, tea or milk. Breakfast is complimentary with the room.

The kitchen, or keeping room, is a place where guests tend to congregate to have a cup of coffee, to watch TV sitting on the Zoar settle or playing some games at the tavern table. There are numerous collections around the house for guests to view.
